Amazon Smile is a great way to help us grow. You can choose our Friends of Baja Animals.org as your Charity of choice so that each time you purchase something on Amazon they will donate 0.5% to us. It’s not a huge amount of money but if everyone did this we could have some steady cash flow. This would help us save more animals and find them loving homes. Thanks so much!
St. Paco's Initiavate has been renamed Los Adoptable, a Transitional Home for Dogs
St. Paco’s is a small animal shelter in Cantu, Ensenada owned and operated by Joy Meade for many years. Joy has devoted her recent life to saving lost, abandoned, abused and starving animals. She started with just a few dogs and cats and then she just couldn’t say no to the multitude of animals that turned up at her door. Eventually, this small shelter had more than 160 animals to feed and care for. Joy needed help, she couldn’t do this alone. The community at large stepped in to help her and she was able to have regular spay and neuter clinics and to date have provided these surgeries to hundreds if not thousands of dogs over the past 8 years or so.
It is time for Joy to retire and she is happy to pass on the torch of her good work to Joan Kinder. Joan and her team of dedicated volunteers will be restructuring St. Paco’s to a more modern facility and will continue the work Joy has done to rescue and find forever homes for local dogs. This initiative is a big one and in only the last week Joan has managed to collect funds and some material to build a quarantine space for those animals at a local non -profit to house and rehabilitate the more urgent cases. She has big ideas to make the New St. Paco’s a place of peace and safety as an interim sanctuary for lost and scared dogs, get them off the streets, attend to their veterinary and medical needs and train and prepare them for their forever homes.
But we need your help. Please donate to this cause through our Donate page today. The New St. Paco’s has much work ahead of them and they need our help as much as possible. It doesn’t matter how much you can donate, even $5 a month on a regular basis would help. So no donation is too small. We need a lot of people to hear and respond to this cry so we implore you to share this site and initiative with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and thoughtfulness in helping us reach out and help the New St. Paco’s.
